This project was all about capturing a nostalgic, carefree vibe for a shirt and matching social media post. The client wanted a design that would instantly bring to mind the groovy style of the 1960s—something playful, bright, and perfect for promoting their brand’s fun, adventurous spirit.

My Role
I handled the design from concept to final delivery, including:
- Researching and drawing inspiration from vintage 60’s logo designs
- Creating a custom illustration with a sunrise motif and hand-lettered typography
- Selecting a warm, era-inspired color palette for a nostalgic feel
- Preparing artwork for screen printing on apparel
- Designing a digital version optimized for social media posting
Objective
The goal was to create a 60s-inspired t-shirt design featuring hippie-style lettering, a warm sunrise, and the phrase “It’s a beautiful day to take a ride.” The design also needed to adapt seamlessly for a coordinating social media post, keeping the retro look and feel consistent across platforms.
The Result
The final design captured the retro, cheerful tone the client envisioned, helping generate more interaction and engagement within the communities they serve. Its versatility allowed it to stand out both as wearable art and as a lively social media graphic.
Approach
Bold, curved lettering, a radiating sunrise, and a traveling bus set the tone for a design full of 60s free-spirited energy. A warm, earthy palette grounded the retro theme, while the playful layout reflected both the client’s transportation service and the cheerful vibe they wanted to share. The design worked seamlessly on the t-shirt and in social posts.
